We have several users that may post events they would like to schedule. Is there a way to hide those events from the public view until such time as the Admin approves the event. I can't find any settings that would do this.

Hi there,
There is no setting for proposed / approved events.
A simple mechanism could be implemented, using the "Private" checkbox in the Event window:

- In the user-interface language file change the text 'Private' into 'Approved'.
(This is the label of the 'Private' checkbox in the Event window)
- With a minor program change I can make all newly entered events 'Private' ('Not Approved')
(The user will not see the "Private" checkbox anymore, the entered events will always be private and not visible to other users)
- The admin however, always sees all events and has the 'Private' (Approved)  checkbox at his disposal. He can now check the checkbox and 'Approve' the event.
(after approval all users can see the event).

It's a simple mechanism which can be implemented with a minimum of changes.

If you are interested, send me your mail address (via the Contact Us page), so that I can send you the changed files.

Thanks so much. They worked perfectly. This would be a great option in the basic calendar.

Thanks again.

Yes, I agree.
In the next LuxCal version we will add the option to propose / approve events.
Thanks,
Roel
