I'd like to see the HTML <embed> function (such as <embed src="example.swf" /> ) available in event descriptions.  This should work for static pictures, audio, and video.

How should this work?
Playing .swf movies and .wav sounds in a (very small) day cell in Month view?
And what to do when several events have a sound file embedded? Play all sounds at the same time?
And where should the .swf, .mov and .wav files be stored?
Please give me some details of what you have in mind.

Thanks for your quick reply.

First, THANKS for a great calendar!

I'm using the calendar for a business that has various entertainers scheduled at different times.  The public can view any events that I don't declare private.  i want the public to be able to click on a button in the event description to see a picture, audio sample or short video of the entertainer, in case they are not already familiar with them.  The picture or video could pop up in a separate window.  An audio sample would simply play when the user clicked on the button.   It would help them decide whether or not they wanted to attend.

Another item - after editing events, I sometimes forget to log out before I disconnect.  Then when the public looks at the calendar they can see the "private" events because someone is still logged-in.  Is there a way to automatically log-out a used after a period of inactivity, say 10 minutes?

Thanks again.

Hi Roel/JohnSr

Was there a solution offered for this issue?

I too would like to be able to embed an image in the event pop-up-box and use that as a link to further information, also, is there a way of making the pop-up-box stay visable on the screen for a period of time?

Kind Regards,
John R.

I don't know if this is feasible or how it would be to implement. If it can be done, great, if not it's not a killer. That being said if it could be done it would be nice.

Currently if I put in a url it parses it perfectly and it becomes a link. Great thing is now if I have more details at my website they can click the link to see it.

Sometimes it might be a image of something the link still works by taking them to the image. Just to dress it up a little, if the url is it takes it one step further, it parses the url into a link and displays a thumbnail of the image.

A lot of work I know because you have to check to see if the url has .png, .jpg, .gif or whatever in it and the add the img class to the link to display the thumbnail.

Like I said, it's ok now without it, adding it would just be a bonus.

I'm sorry, this to me is not intuitive for the average user. This is the instruction below the area for entering the event details.

(link to website: url or url [name]. E.g. [search])

Am I suppose to enter:
([Visit My Site]) or[Visit My Site] or[Visit My Site]

If possible for some future version two different link sections added like attached. This is just an idea. I find if you try to edit a link you can also have a problem.
