Hello!

I want to include a sidebar with upcoming events for the categorie-id "1"
But I only get the standard-box!

File: test.html in Homefolder of calendar-installation.

I have put in header:

Code:

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="./css/css_sbar.php">
<script type="text/javascript" src="./common/toolbox.js"></script>

i have put in body.

Code:

<?php
$sbClass = 'sideBar';
$sbHeader = 'next Events';
$sbCats = '1';
$sbMaxNbr = '10';
$sbUpDays = '1';
include './lcsbar.php';
?>

But I got following error:

Warning: chdir() [function.chdir]: No such file or directory (errno 2) in /www/htdocs/w00bb816/kalender/lcsbar.php on line 117

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /www/htdocs/w00bb816/kalender/common/toolbox.php on line 216

what can I do?

Hi Hansi,

The PHP version running on your server is too low; the LuxCal calendar needs PHP 5.3 or higher.
So you (or your ISP) should upgrade to PHP 5.3 or higher and all your troubles will be solved smile

I don't know why, but now I can see the the sidebar-calender:

But:
- Now Headline
- sideBar2 is not functionally (is like sideBar)
- $sbCats not works

Code:

Code:

$sbClass = 'sideBar2';
$sbHeader = 'Test';
$sbCats = '1';
$sbMaxNbr = '10';
$sbUpDays = '1';
include 'http://<domain>/lcsbar.php';

Any ideas

Hello again!

I have another information:

My Kalender is installed in a subdomain of my webspace: http://kalender.mydomain.org

My Website is: http://www.mydomain.org

I have tested in lcsbar.php if the variable are available with "if isset($var)". And I got the info that the variables are not set.

How can I set the variablef für the File http://kalender.mydomain.org/lcsbar.php ?

Hello Hansi,

The style sideBar2 is just there in case you would like to add two side bars to your web page. It doesn't matter whether you use the style sideBar or sideBar2. You can even leave out '$sbClass = 'sideBar2';' and then it will default to 'sideBar'.
I don't know how you did exactly test with "if (isset($lc.....))", but if your code looks like:

Code:

<?php
$sbClass = 'sideBar2';
$sbHeader = 'Test';
$sbCats = '1';
$sbMaxNbr = '10';
$sbUpDays = '1';
include 'http://<domain>/lcsbar.php';
?>

then the variables are definitely set! No other possibility.

To start with I would suggest to just add the following code to your web page:

Code:

<?php
include 'http://<domain>/lcsbar.php';
?>

Now you should see a normal side bare with events (if you have events in your calendar). Thereafter you can add step by step the $lc.... variables and see what happens.

Could you send me (via the Contact Us page) the URL of your calendar installation, so that I can see what it looks like.
