If you are looking for a detailed description of all LuxCal functions and realistic LuxCal calendar applications, then you should have a look at the following website: www.calendarforum.dk.

John has started a LuxCal fansite and has put online detailed descriptions of all LuxCal functions. Furthermore you will find on his calendar forum site a host of useful information, interesting add-ons and working examples of how the LuxCal calendar can be used.
Thanks John for all the effort you've spent on creating this very useful site!

If/when You visit the site, please give Your comments to the site, and leave some good ideas to make it better.

AND I would like You to give me a link to Your site, if You have a calendar and/or a sidebar, that could be an inspiration to other LuxCal users - existing users or potential new users.

You can leave a message on the guestbook, on the blog, or use the contact form.

Your input will be appreciated.

Excellent site and job well done.

I posted on the guestbook. The guestbook also centers the comment which makes it harder to read when more than just a couple of words.

This is just my opinion course.

Regards,
Dan

Sorry to see you closed your fan site Schwartz. I vaguely recall you having a link on it to a website that provides a free cron service. Perhaps I have it confused and saw it somewhere else. If it was on your website can you provide the url?

Thanks,
Dan

Hello Dan

The reason why I "closed" the site, was that I ( apart from You and Roel ) got NO response at all to the site. It was meant to get ideas from other users, and to give other users inspiration.

In a couple of weeks, I will bring the site to live again - this time as a test + demo + example-site.
The calendar, when You install it, has the same appearance as it have had in long time, BUT the functionality has become huge.
I think it will be a good idea to have a site that can tell of its functionality, and that has examples to show some of the ways to use it.

About the link - I think You mean this : http://www.calendarforum.dk/add-ons-tools.html

Kind regards
John

Hello John,

Unforunatley people can be so wrapped up in what they are doing they don't have the time or interest to share ideas etc. Building a community of support and sharing ideas can be extremely difficult particularly if it is on a different website. If it was possible, it would be nice if what was on your site could be incorporated here. Roel may not have the time to incorporate and keep up the information / demos etc. Roel could setup ftp access to a separate folder where your stuff would reside and you would maintain that as to not be a burden to Roel. That would be up to Roel as he might want to provide ftp access.

Another idea would be to add a section to the forum "Creative Ways to Us LuxCal" where people can post ideas of how to use LuxCal. It would be somewhat related to the "Show Off" section so Roel could maybe just rename that one.

I look forward to when you have your site live again.

Yes that was the page and website I was referring to about cron jobs.

Regards,
Dan

Another idea John that might help direct people and build your community site. If Roel thinks it is a good idea, Roel could add your site as a link in the menu or on the demo page for additional demos. The menu link would require less work and wouldn't have to be updated so it would be the easiest to implement.

Just a thought.

Regards,
Dan

Hello Dan

It would be great, if Roel would make an extra menu-button on his site.

I have just brought the site alive again. I have made two example sites and I will put some good data in the calendar, when a new version comes - I think a new release is coming soon.

I will make a new post to tell the site is back.

Regards
John
