LuxCal Forum / General / Support / Error: Import ics-file with VALARM block
Posted:  08 Jan 2014 12:53
Hi,

I'm using LuxCal 3.12.
When trying to import an ics-file (exported from SOGo [see: http://sogo.nu]) I got an error-message in the ics-file. The only error information I got in LuxCal is the line number in the ics-file.
But this line number doesn't contain the error.

It seems to be a problem if the ics-file contain "VALARM" blocks like:

Code:

BEGIN:VALARM
TRIGGER;VALUE=DURATION;X-WEBSTATUS=triggered:-PT30M
ACTION:DISPLAY
DESCRIPTION:Default Event Notification
X-WR-ALARMUID:554ffc5c-541f-42c1-8896-f97ca8354462
END:VALARM

or

Code:

BEGIN:VALARM
TRIGGER;VALUE=DURATION:-P1D
ACTION:DISPLAY
END:VALARM

If I delete these VALARM blocks manually I could import the ics-file without any error messages.
Is this a problem of SOGo-Export or LuxCal-Import?

Thanks in advance for any hints.
Bye and best regards
Holger

Hi Holger,

LuxCal doesn't process VALARM components, but ignores them. LuxCal should not produce an error on VALARM components.
I've added you VALARM examples above to one of my Ical files and when I upload the file it works fine.

Could you sent me your complete iCal file by email (via the Contact Us page), so that I can try it out and further analyze the problem.

Thanks,
Roel
