Hello,

I would like to have an upcoming list like the one on this page, how do i get this done?

I now have like on the picture.http://i41.tinypic.com/ns2ua.jpg

Can you tell me what pages i need to modify to get this done?
I don't want a big empty area on the top and left side.

Thanks a lot

Hi Edward,

If I understand you correctly, you want the stand-alone sidebar with upcoming events as displayed at the bottom of the LuxCal Demo page.
How to do this is described in the file installation_guide.html, section 5b.

Let me know if you have problems, and I will help you.

Hello Roel,

I tried what is described in section 5b, but now it doesn't show anything. sad

Below you see the part of my code.

Code:

<head>
  <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="Calendar/css/css_sbar.php">
  <script type="text/javascript" src="Calendar/common/toolbox.js"></script>
</head>

And at the location of the calendar on the same page:

Code:

<div class="body">
<a href="wedstrijdkalender.html">
  <?php
  $sbClass = 'sideBar1';
  $sbHeader = 'Aankomende activiteiten';
  $sbCatsIn = '2,4';
  include 'Calendar/lcsbar.php';
  ?>
  <?php
  $sbClass = 'sideBar2';
  $sbHeader = 'All other events';
  $sbCatsEx = '2,4';
  $sbUpDays = '30';
  include 'Calendar/lcsbar.php';
  ?>
</a>
</div>

Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot.

Hi Edward,

Your code looks ok.
Assuming your calendar folder is "Calendar" with a capital "C" and you've customized the classes "sideBar1" and "sideBar2" in the file css/css_sbar.php, and the in- and excluded event categories (sequence numbers 2 and 4 on the event category page) are correct, it should work.
However, I'm not sure, but I have the impression that your web page ends with ".html" and therefore is (most probably) not served via PHP. If this is true, you should change the extension of your web page to ".php".

If this doesn't solve the problem, let me know and send me the URL of your website, so that I can have a look what's wrong. (You can send me the URL via the email address on the Contact Us page).

OT:
Beware, putting the two sidebar calendars within an <a>-tag could cause problems because the calendar can also produce <a>-tags; so you can end up with <a>tags within an <a>-tag (nested), which is not valid html.

Roel,

I simply had to change my webpage from HTML to PHP and now it works great.

Thanks for your help.

Kind regards,

Edward
